It’s one of the most famous Italian cocktails in the world. In 1919, Conte Camillo Negroni, a regular Customer at the Casoni Bar in Florence asked to strengthen his Americano Cocktail. Fosco Scarselli, the bartender, switched Soda water with Gin. This combination became the Count’s usual order. Other guests of Casoni started to ask for one of Count Negroni’s drinks and then it simply became known as Negroni.
